The Defense Depot facility is a ten-unit studio apartment facility for chronically homeless veterans who are unable to succeed in more traditional housing programs and are the “hardest to serve” population.
The goal of permanent housing is to provide affordable, secure, stable housing to vulnerable homeless veterans and to provide case management support to create a sound and viable personal lifestyle and to build a foundation on which each client can re-integrate employment and other daily activities to restore effective social and occupational functioning.
Clinical staff are onsite during normal working hours to provide needed services, such as:
|• Case management
• Crisis intervention
• Liaison/advocacy services
|• Leisure, socialization and spiritual development programs
• Transportation assistance
• Benefits assistance and application assistance
• Substance abuse and mental illness education
