Jack Ramsaur was born in Baton Rouge, La. He was commissioned through the ROTC program at Louisiana Tech University. Following the completion of undergraduate pilot training, he was first assigned as a KC-135 pilot with the 71st Air Refueling Squadron at Barksdale AFB, La. He commanded the 970th Associate Airborne Control Squadron at Tinker AFB, Okla., and was Vice Commander of the 916th Air Refueling Wing, Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C. He and his family live in Memphis, TN.
