Retiring from the US Air Force after serving 31 years in the Active Air Force and Air National Guard, PZ has devoted a great amount of time in paying back.

He is a life member of the VFW, American Legion, Military Officers Association of America and Air Force Association. PZ works with youth in support of the military by coordinating activities with ROTC, JROTC, Civil Air Patrol and STEM education initiatives. PZ and his wife, Selby, have initiated a gardening program at Alpha Omega to mentor and assist clients in promoting outdoor activities. He has also volunteered time with computer training of Alpha Omega clients. PZ is a retiree of Hewlett-Packard where he was a Services Program Director for large customer implementations. He is a member of the Memphis Botanic Garden Foundation Board and is an Advisor to The Tennessee Genealogical Society Board. He is married, has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. PZ is an avid reader and likes to cook, fish and research family history
